Mom

Well this morning when I woke up I had a missed call on my cell phone.
It was my mom and she didn't leave a voice msg. The scary part was the call came in at 1am.
I called her back and she was out of breath and I had asked if she indeed called me at such an hour.
She said she did because her heart was racing so hard last night and she could hardly move.
OMG this is my mom, the only family I have that I'm actually close with. If I loose my mom, I will be very very sad. I know she would make a reservation to Heaven in a heart beat if she could and will love it up there. But to loose her here on Earth would be so sad for me and my boys.

Please pray she will be ok.

Lifetime Fishing Buddies

Headed down to the Ventura Pier so Michael and Anya could get some fishing time in. The weather was horrible so we didn't stay long. Did get some great pictures of them though.

Getting the family together isn't as easy as it sounds

Danielle and I have been in talks about getting our family together for a bbq. You would think by the sounds of it that we all lived in different cities, umm no, not the case, we all live here in Carpinteria.

So we are in the planning stages to hopefully see how many show up on June 7th.

Thanks Danielle for all your help on getting our families together.

Jesusita Fire in Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara has been hit with yet another horrible fire.

Here are some pictures I took today and the smoke in the sky was actually taken at Nicks game today from Carpinteria.

Dodger Day

We arrived at the game and found our seats. Boy it was a warm day but not that bad, as so I thought. I had a Dodger dog, a few drinks of soda and was sitting waiting for the game to start. I had to stand for the National Anthem and I felt very light headed and couldn't stand. I fell into my seat so I thought I would drink a bit of soda again since I didn't have my water yet. I was able to get down stairs and a woman helped me. She said she was a nurse and gave me tons of water and cooled me down. The staff put me in better seats in the shade and we had a blast at the game. We decided to take the kids to experience Hollywood Blvd for dinner. It was a blast.

Strawberry Vinaigrette

Sharon and I hit the South Coast Deli once a week up in the industrial park for lunch. They have this yummy mix greens salad with strawberries and feta with a Strawberry vinaigrette dressing.

I thought I would make a batch on my own and it turned out fantastic!!!!

Here is the recipe.

1 Cup Olive Oil
1/2 pint fresh strawberries, halved
3 T balsamic vinegar
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper

In a blender or food processor, mix olive oil, strawberries, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper.
Blend until smooth.

You'll love it!!

Spring 2009

We are so busy this time of year with the boys in baseball, but we love every minute of it.

I thought I would have a blog for those friends and family members who are not on Facebook, so you can enjoy our pictures and updates as well.

I'm still working at the best company ever and enjoy every day that I'm there.

The boys are doing well in school, with some challenges which is to be expected but all in all they are doing great.

Nick is finishing up his Freshman year at Carpinteria High, boy has that brought back a lot of memories.

Hope everyone is well and enjoying this beautiful weather we are experiencing lately.
